Natural rubber stocks in Japan at the end of January stood at 7,288 metric tons, up 6% from 6,877 tons Jan. 20, according to data issued Wednesday by the Rubber Trade Association of Japan.
Japan's natural rubber stocks had declined to historically low levels of 3,902 tons Nov. 10 and are still 28% lower than at the end of May 2009.
Natural latex stocks fell to 265 tons from 266 tons on Jan. 20, while synthetic rubber stocks rose to 1,891 tons from 1,832 tons.
The association didn't provide any reasons for the changes.
