On Tuesday (23 March 2010), the spot rubber showed a mixed trend. The early declines in domestic futures kept sheet rubber under pressure. The remaining grades including latex ended flat amidst scattered transactions as there were no selling pressure in the main marketing centres. Sheet rubber declined to Rs 154 from Rs 155 per kg failing to recover in tune with the late gains on NMCE.
The April futures for RSS 4 rose to Rs 157.10 (156.39), May to Rs 158.85 (158.17), June to Rs 158.50 (158.06) and July to Rs 158.50 (158.21) per kg on National Multi Commodity Exchange.
Spot prices (Rs/kg) were: RSS-4: 154 (155); RSS-5: 153 (153); ungraded: 152 (152); ISNR 20: 152 (152) and latex 60%: 100 (100).
