Malaysian glove makers announce expansion plans

b_pg23supply[1]George Town, Malaysia - Two major rubber gloves producers in Malaysia are investing about RM170mil this year to expand their production capacity, according to The Star. Latexx Partners is investing RM70mil and Top Glove RM100mil to expand their maximum production capacities. Latexx Partners will undertake the final phase of its expansion exercise this year to gradually raise its annual production capacity to 12 billion pieces in two years from the present 9 billion pieces. The expansion is to be completed in two years would add another facility to the existing six plants in Kamunting Industrial Estate, Taiping. Top Glove’s allocation of about RM100mil is to construct three plants, add production lines for its existing 17 factories, and purchase land for future expansion.
