Viet Nam’s rubber export revenue this year has hit about US$ 1 billion with average yield of 1,800 tons per hectare, according to the information center of Agriculture and Rural Development.
The country is expected to plant 27,000 fresh ha of rubber trees by year-end and bring total growing area of the industrial crop to 700,000ha by 2010 and 800,000ha five years later.
