RSS3 grade natural rubber deliveries on the Singapore Commodity Exchange in November are estimated around 2,300 metric tons, up from 2,040 tons in October, a senior trading executive said Thursday.
Deliveries of TSR20 grade rubber are expected around 1,740 tons, versus 820 tons in October, said the executive, who didn't want to be named. The November contract expired Oct. 31.
Sicom doesn't disclose the details of deliveries but the executive said there is growing interest among members in buying cargoes on the exchange amid rising prices.
According to the executive, R1 International was the main seller of the RSS3 grade, selling around 1,380 tons at prices between 1.5 U.S cents/kg discount and 0.25 cents premium over the settlement price, depending on the port of loading.
Louis Dreyfus sold 720 tons of RSS3 grade rubber at 1.5 cents discount to Southland Rubber Co.
In the TSR20 category, more than 1,000 tons of Indonesian origin rubber was sold by Primetrade Ltd.
